(Had to switch the look again – just trying to find one that “works” well with my bad eyes! Plus, others have said that it’s hard to read. Is this one better?)
It’s freezing here! We’ve had a drastic dip in the temperatures lately – our nighttime lows have been in the low 40’s! It’s way too early to put the heat on, so I’m wrapped up in a blanket in my house that’s at 64 degrees.
The Job Fair wasn’t quite what I expected. It was actually geared more towards recruiting college students, but alumni were also welcome – thankfully I DID graduate from that school! The good news is that I got to talk to someone from the company I’m seeking employment from, who is in the actual department that I want to work in! Hopefully I’ll hear back from them soon!
I told Dwight that I am really looking forward to being back at work, especially during the winter months because it’ll give me something focused to do to get my mind off of the sadness that I feel this time of year. I love the sights & smells of Fall, but it marks the beginning of shorter days & less light & that’s just not good for me.
Bailey’s leg is doing much better. I think we’ll be able to go on walks again soon, which will be good for her, me, and my children’s toys!!! Seems that being cooped up with no exercize has made Bailey a stressed out doggie who takes it out on my kids’ toys. Last night, on the way home from church, I started singing this liitle song (sung to the tune ‘What’s in the Mail Today’ from Bear in the Blue House):
What’s Bailey chewed today? What’s Bailey chewed today? I wonder, wonder. What’s Bailey chewed today? What’s Bailey, What’s Bailey chewed today?
And she had chewed a stuffed parrot, a plastic bear, and somehow got to a toy snowman that had some candy in his pouch (don’t ask). In the past few days she also chewed a foam ball, a beanbag ball and a plastic Avatar toy from Burger King. My kids are not too happy! Hopefully we’ll cure her with some exercize & more rawhide or she’ll have to go back into her crate when we leave!
2 more weeks until ‘Lost’ starts up again – I can’t wait! dwight & I also started watching a new show called ‘Kidnapped’ which was really good & we want to start watching ‘6 Degrees’ too because it’s made by the guy who made ‘Alias’ & ‘Lost’, so it should be good! What new shows are you looking forward to this Fall?
