Something a little more light-hearted today!
Today I woke up extra early after a bad night of little sleep. Dwight & I were both tossing & turning. Anyway, he’s feeling better (YAY!) so he got up to meet with a friend before work today & I got up to rub his lotion on his back after his shower. He just kept telling me that I was going above & beyond the ‘call of duty’, to which I reminded him that our vows stated “in SICKNESS & in health”. HE is the one who has had to put up with SO much!
So….I’m in the kitchen at dark-thirty this morning, making my coffee & feeling very, very tired, when Jessica walks up to me & says “Mommy. I love you more than I love me.” WOW. WHOA – Did that just come from the mouth of a 5-yr. old? Just melted all the yucky feelings away, that’s for sure! Even Nick, last night when I was putting him to bed, wanted more “cuddle time” with me! Love those kiddos!!!!

For fun, I thought I’d share a couple of Jess’ funny words:
infidium: A really long time or a really big number! (I have an infidium number of bunnies.)
butcept: Excluding. (I want to take all my stuffed animals butcept the really big one.)

And for Dwight (from this week’s Studio 60 show)
Fields of Gold – Sting
You’ll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You’ll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we walk in fields of gold
So she took her love for to gaze awhile
Upon the fields of barley
In his arms she fell as her hair came down
Among the fields of gold
Will you stay with me, will you be my love
Among the fields of barley?
We’ll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we lie in fields of gold
See the west wind move like a lover so
Upon the fields of barley
Feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth
Among the fields of gold
I never made promises lightly
And there have been some that I’ve broken
But I swear in the days still left
We’ll walk in fields of gold
We’ll walk in fields of gold
Many years have passed since those summer days
Among the fields of barley
See the children run as the sun goes down
Among the fields of gold
You’ll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in fields of gold
When we walked in fields of gold
When we walked in fields of gold
Jess is re-writing the dictionary! (My favorite is butcept… I’m gonna start using that one!)
BTW… I enjoyed watching Studio 60 w/you & Dwight butcept in my living room! Hey, have you guys heard Eva Cassidy’s rendition of Fields of Gold? It takes me to a different place…
AND, I just got around to your last post & left a comment for you. I’m thinking you’re a psychic or something.
Much love to you and Dwight…
Ang
I thought butcept was already IN the dictionary!
