Yesterday was my BIG interview & I think I did OK. Of course, I was so nervous that I don’t really remember much of what I actually said, but I managed to get through it somehow.  After I was done, I was leaving the “campus” and was stopped at a red light, waiting to make a turn. I looked over at the side of the road & saw this great big hawk. I smiled, laughed & cried, just knowing that God had been with me throughout that whole process. To top it off,  the hawk was catching a snake (symbolic of you-know-who!) and took off into a nearby tree.  The song playing on the radio (an old 80’s song) had the chorus “And there is always something there to remind me.” It couldn’t have been clearer if I had gotten hit upside the head. Do you think we just usually ignore the signs God HAS given us or do we notice them, but rationalize them? Or we chalk it up to being crazy. It’s sad, really. I KNOW God sends me hawks!

Thanksgiving is just 2 days away – I probably should go buy a turkey. I think it takes a whole day just to thaw, right? We’ll have Stove Top Stuffing (the chicken mix), mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes (I can’t decide if I should bake them or slice them up & add brown sugar), jellied cranberry sauce (Nick could eat the whole can!), some sort of veggie, maybe apple sauce, & hopefully pumpkin pie. It’s just going to be our family & Dwight’s mom. Should be pretty laid back.  Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

That is great! I love it when God shows me just how much he is with me…all the time.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving

I got teary-eyed when I read your post about the hawk and the song. I just love it when God does that.

Have a good Thanksgiving, Beaner!

Praying the job works out! Happy thankful-filled Thanksgiving. As our pastor says “God is good!”

I do think that God speaks to His people and we sometimes don’t listen. But, girl, He just plain shouts out to you. I am envious of that because I need a shout out. Seriously, what a wonderful chain of events for your day. However, it turns out you will know His hand was in it. But, I hope it all turns out how you want. Hope your turkey day was relaxing and enjoyable.
