Next to St. Patrick’s Day, this one is a little bit less known (unless you grew up Polish/Italian/ Catholic in Chicago!) Anyway…….at least you’ve heard of Joseph, Jesus’s adopted father. Even though we don’t get to see a lot of Joseph in the Bible, I think we see his character in Jesus. Joseph taught Jesus about carpentry, but he also helped to mold his love for people (remember, Joseph wanted to divorce Mary privately in order to prevent shame & pain.) And Joseph listened to the angels in his dreams & protected his family. I admire Joseph as a father & a husband as well!

I woke up in a LOT of pain today. My wisdom teeth are impacted & one of them has been giving me trouble the past few days. I’m going to be making a few phone calls today. Loooks like oral surgery is in my near future. I’ve never had surgery before & I’m not too thrilled about this!!!

Some days I’m just doing all that I can just to survive. I can’t even focus on the big things or issues in my life because it takes every effort just to get through the little things. The last few days have been like this. I don’t like living like this. Dwight & I have a “date” this Tuesday to talk about some of the BIG stuff, like jobs, where we’re living, what we’re doing for our “church/kingdom work”, and goals for our children’s present & future. I just want to have a vision that goes beyond just getting through each day & what I’m going to do tomorrow. 

This is the last week of classes before our Spring Break. I really hope the weather cooperates & let’s us enjoy some time outside. The dog’s getting a little bit fat, and it wouldn’t hurt for me to get some exercise too!!! Might even improve my outlook on life!

I continue to place my trust in God – He will lead me & guide me. Step by step. Day by day.
