Spring Break!

Posted by: beaner927 on: March 26, 2007

Things to Do:

1. Visit Dentist & have stitches removed.

2. Call Nick’s doctor for an appointment & pray that he doesn’t have strep throat.

3. Go up to Chicago with the kids & visit my parents. This event will bring rain. It always rains when we make plans with the Grandparents!!!

4. Memorize lines for a scene that I’m doing for a Film Festival. It’s not for me, but for a friend of my neighbor’s. Anyway…..Nick has been in a few of these scenes & Dwight too. Yesterday, Nick & I were at the graveyard filming one. Nick was supposed to look sad & he did great. He told me later that he was thinking about Toby, our old dog that we had to give back to the pound because he became aggresive & started biting people. Nick knows he was put to sleep. Nick has some great acting skills!!!

5. More Spring Cleaning – my back porch rocks now! I cleared away all the junk & cleaned the walls & vacuumed. Now i just need to apply a fresh coat of paint to the wrought iron table & chairs. Now my plan is to get up early & have my coffee & read my Bible while watching the birds & feeling the breeze from my porch. It’s good to carve out a little nook for myself!

6. Relax & enjoy the weather!!!!

How I’m doing so far:

#1 – Check!
#2 – It IS strep (first case ever!) UGH!!!
#3 – Don’t know about the trip now.
#4 – Better start soon!
#5 – Planted some pansies.
#6 – So far, so good!

Strep throat is common in our house. The thing I don’t mind about strep is that they give you medicine and usually with in a day or two you are feeling so much better. A virus on the other hand can linger forever and there is nothing they can really do fo ra virus. Hope your Spring Break Is great!

Can you post the film clip on You Tube for us? I would love to see you all in action!

I hope you and Nick are both well and enjoying your break. How fun to be so close to Chicago. Here’s to no rain!

Your little nook sounds heavenly.

My friend who moved here from Illinois was so surprised to find that we plant pansies in the Fall.(Autumn) They don’t last very long in the Spring. Do you have the nasty pollen all over everything? I can’t enjoy my screened porch because of all the yellow stuff right now.
