Friday started off great – Dwight & I went on a double-date with our Youth Minister & his girlfriend (a good friend who is also in our Small Group). After a great meal & conversation, including one on the symbolism of Pan’s Labyrinth, we headed back to our house to play Monopoly. (The Star Wars version!) I am happy to report that…..I kicked booty!!! This is due to my hard-bargaining & ability to nab all the railroads (Podracers, in the SW version.) We had a great time – Jar & Col are really fun to be around.

Saturday, our family overdid it a little. Dwight went off golfing with the Men’s Ministry & the kids put on a Limeade stand with the neighbor girls. The Limeade wasn’t bad, considering I squeezed the limes by hand! Time to buy an electric juicer!!! Then we headed off to the pool & then went shopping for Dwight’s Father’s Day gift. He got a disc golf bag & 2 new discs. (This is his newest hobby/passion/sport.) Disc Golf is actually pretty fun & a LOT cheaper than regular golf, since the courses are FREE to play on & it takes a lot less time too. Saturday night Dwight & I played some World of Warcraft together (it’s a computer game.) All in all, a fun, but long day.

Sunday, after church, we came home & had lunch/rested & then we had to go pick up Dwight’s mom from the airport. Actually, the kids & I went to get her while Dwight stayed home & napped. Just another little Father’s Day gift! Really, he pulled a muscle in his neck & was knocked out w/some Advil. Then it was time for dinner w/Dwight’s dad. Dwight BBQ’d T-Bone steaks to perfection! YUMMY!!! The rest of the night we just rested!

This morning, the kids & I went on a berry hunt. We picked a HUGE bowl full of Black Raspberries – they are so sweet! Now I have to find some recipes – got any good ones? It’s gonna be another fun-filled, busy week. The Relay For Life is this Friday & Saturday – we’re praying that it cools down a bit. I don’t think its gonna be much fun if we’re walking around the track in 90+ degree heat!!! Have a good week Blog Family!
