Are you in on the hype? Where will you be at Midnight tonight?
Although I haven’t seen Harry Potter 5 at the movies yet, I have read all the books & I love them. So, tonight, at midnight, I hhope to be standing in line somewhere for book 7. However, since the thought of being surrounded by prepubescent girls gives me the heebie-jeebies, I will probaby be somewhere other than the local bookstores. I’m thinking there won’t be a lot of teeny-boppers at Kroger or Jewel! (I hope!!!)
Anyway, I’m kind of afraid of hearing about the ending, so I want to read this book ASAP so it doesn’t get ruined for me. I’ve been thinking a LOT about who is going to die. (JK Rowling has said that 2 major characters die in this last one.) Although part of me thinks it would be a beautifully tragic ending if Harry dies in the end, I don’t think she would do that to a bunch of children who make up her core audience. SO…….I will tell you who I think it’s going to be: (Spoilers here – if you haven’t read the first 6 books, then stop reading!!!)
1. Snape – I think he’s a good guy & I don’t think he killed Dumbledore. I think he is working with Dumbledore to make Voldemort believe Dumbledore is dead. I think Snape will end up being killed by Voldemort in an epic end battle.
2. Longbottom – I think he’s such a sweet, good guy & will end up being killed, which will be sad, but not as sad as if it was one of ”The 3″ – Harry, Ron, or Hermione.
So…….are you buying the book tonight? Who do YOU think is gonna bite the magic dust?
My daughter will be getting her book next week – from London. One of Paul’s co-workers is there and we have asked him to bring it back. One of her other ones (book 5?) is from London because Daddy was there when it came out. She will have to wait a week to get this newest one, but she says it’s worth it to have it be from Harry’s home country. They are actually printed a little differently.
She has seen the new movie 3 times in less than a week…..
I hate to say this, but I have not read the books. Should I start?
Well, I was too tired (old) to stand in line for the book last night. This isn’t ‘Star Wars’ you know! Anyway – I have to go grocery shopping this morning, so I’m just hoping that I can snag a copy today.

I am definitely a HP fan — though not quite all the way to fanatic like so many. I have seen HP5 twice now and will definitely own HP7 by the end of the weekend. My family is leaving for vacation at 7am tomorrow, though, so I don’t intend to be anywhere at midnight buying it. Hope to find a Wal-Mart, Sams, etc that we can stop by on our road trip.
