Christmas was wonderful. We had a good time up in Chicagoland, where we got to see my whole family for Christmas. The kids got a huge haul of presents & we got to eat a bunch of good food. The primo gift this year was a Wii from Santa. It is a TON of fun – my whole family got into it, esp. the bowling game! The best part about this gaming system is that the contollers are easy to use, so even Jessica can manipulate them (and she just happens to be our best bowler too – scoring a 223!!!!) It’s great to have a game that the whole family can play together. Honestly, the day after we started playing that thing, I was SORE!!!!

Now that Christmas is over, I really feel like I’m getting into that Winter Funk. The weather has been dreary & I have caught myself eating too many snacks too late at night. Then I get down on myself because I’m also too lazy to do any exercise & I start to feel like I’m a blob on the couch. UGH!!! Thankfully, New Year’s Day is tomorrow & with it comes the mindset that I can start over & start being more healthy. Hopefully that renewed mindset will at least get me through January! If not, I always have Kroger Buttery Braided Twist Pretzles to look forward to!

Well, I’m off of work now until the kids go back to school – it will be my first big chunk of time being home with them since the Summer! I am looking forward to it, but I just wish it could either be a little bit warmer outside or we could have a foot of snow to play in.
